I got this for my 10 year old son for Christmas. He had the regular splat blaster that didn't have a trigger and it broke, the same day we got it. I got this one thinking he would like it better because it has a trigger and he does. I don't know why he likes it because it is so much work. You have to pump and pump and pump to get air pressure built up and then it will shoot two or three paint balls before the pressure runs out and you have to pump it back up again. I would recommend this company to install a battery operated motor (like the nerf machine gun) to shoot the paint balls out. Another issue is the paint balls don't always break. I would say about 20% of the time they don't break. We shoot them against the side of our brick house. We took chalk and drew a big target and my son loves doing target practice on it. The target they send with it is useless. Overall I don't care for this toy but my 10 year old seems to like it.
