It's okay September 11, 2009 A mom in MN The kids can fill it themselves and the guns shoot easily. You quickly run out of water but you can quickly fill them up. The only downside is that they don't fill full after awhile. But, the water guns are fun!
Disappointed July 1, 2009 Jennifer Barber (San Jose, CA USA) We were so excited about this product. It seemed like such a good idea for my twin five-year olds to be able to fill their own blasters without wasting water. Initially, it was great. They could fill them up and discharge them on their own. Then we noticed that the guns don't discharge unless they are held at a 90 degree angle to the ground. Then after 30 min of use, the part of the set that attaches to the hose started leaking. It no longer filled and pressurized the blasters rendering the entire set useless. We got 30 minutes of play for $50. We returned the set for a new one and the exact same thing happened again within 30 minutes. Our boys are so disappointed. We aren't going to buy another set. It's just a waste of time and money.
Quit working within 15 min!!! June 30, 2009 Anna W. Morris (SC) I was so excited about this toy. It was a birthday gift for my 4 year old grandson. After 15 min., it wouldn't pressurize and the tank was still half full but no way to empty. A waste of money and my time to go about having to get a refund.
Terrific fun for the little ones...And not so little ones too June 14, 2009 Lincoln J. Mennuti (New York, NY United States) ++ The Pros ++ + Easy enough to use that indeed the suggested age of 3+ is right on. + Good distance on the stream range + Gun Refill is super-fast + Water-filled guns are still light enough for a 3yr old to use one-handed + The build and feel of the guns and the fill-base is solid -- The Cons -- - Pricey - Water capacity in the guns is very short (about 20 seconds to empty if you're shooting constantly) ** What's in the Box ** * The 2 Turbo Fill Blaster Guns * The Turbo-Fill Base * Instruction Manual * 4 extra O-ring replacements for the guns I'm quite surprised to see so many negatives on this toy. I have to believe that Fisher-Price indeed went back to the drawing board and fixed some issues. As the other positive poster mentioned, I too have the set with the solid-blue color base (instead of it being see-through, like on the pictures). As well, I bought ours from Toys-r-Us. From taking it out of the package to shooting was only a couple of minutes. Just put the 3 legs on the base, connect the hose and turn on the water. That's it, you're ready to slap the guns into the fill base and be off and squirting away. The gun snaps into the base securely, once the connection is made you'll actually hear the 'whoosh' sound as the base pressure fills the gun. I only had our hose turned on to about 70% full pressure and the base was still filling the gun to full within 7 to 8 seconds (I counted off in my head)!! To remove, you press the release button and the gun "pops" out of the connection (I'd compare the pressure release equal to about opening a soda bottle), then you grab the gun and you're ready to start shooting...if you're too impatient to wait the 7 to 8 seconds (like my 3 1/2 year old Son) the gun already has a good amount of water/pressure within a few seconds. Speaking of my Son, it only took him seeing me fill the guns a couple of times and he was able to do it himself...I think that was a part of the grand design of the guns, a little less on the water capacity to make it lighter so the little ones can get in on the action. I also enjoy it just as much; there's no pumping, no constant trigger-pulling, no recharging batteries. Just pop the gun on, give it a few seconds to fill and you're off an running. I hope the folks that had issues were either flukes or Fisher-Price had since fixed the problems, this is really a great toy and I certainly recommend it.
Great squirt gun for smaller kids! May 26, 2009 Carissa Dority 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I read some reviews on these squirt guns and was hesitent. I have a 3 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. We have several different squirt guns ranging from simple to elaborate super soakers. My daughter always wants to play, but she usually has a difficult time filling and/or pumping squirt guns up. And simply trigger shooters mnake her finger tired too fast and she can no longer squeeze the trigger to shoot the gun. I purchased these from toys'r'us and purchased a replacement warranty for $6 after reading reviews. But we have had these for 3 weeks now and MANY refills with no problems. They run out of water rather quickly and don't shoot water as far as some other sophisticated squirt guns, but they do work nicely! Even though they run out of water fast, they are so easy and quick to fill back up it doesn't really matter. Both of my children LOVE these guns and play with them all day on hot days refill after refill they deliver lots of wet fun. I placed a sprinkler next to the refill base so they have to get a little wet if they want to refill! I have to say I think these are the best squirt guns I have ever purchased. I haven't had any problems with them thus far. I think there may have been a re-design of the product also... Every picture I have seen has a clear bubble on the base of the squirt gun, ours is blue and you can't see anything inside of the refill base. So maybe they have changed something to help correct the problem others are complaining about. All I know is for $6 I bought a 17 month warranty with free replacement is something does happen to them.
