Lots of fun June 28, 2010 priyeshnathu I bought this item for christmas when my son was 8 months old. The assembly is quite easy and did not take long at all. Although he could not use it on his own at that age, I put him on there and pushed the button for him. He really enjoyed it and as time went on he learned how to use it himself. He is now 14 months old and still loves it. Everytime he goes into the garage the first thing he does is go to this toy and wants to ride it. It isn't that fast but fast enough so that he will not get hurt or be scared of it. I like that it is able to go through our lawn as well. The battery life is really good on it.
Go Diego Go February 14, 2010 bsmith (New Jersey) I purchased this Diego for my 1 year old grandson for Christmas. He loves it. He walked at 8 mths, which may be a little advanced, but by 1 yr olds he was able to climb on and off without assistance. It is designed that he can step on the little ledge and sit himself down on the seat. Additionally, the go button is easy for him to push to go forward. His navigational skills are not that great, but when he crashes into things, it is not going fast enough to cause injury. He loves and the size is perfect for a 1 yr. old.
Better for older kids December 31, 2009 Huckleberry Rahr (Madison, WI USA) I got this for my 22 month old son. He LOVES cars, he is a thrill seeker, he is very active and obsessed with Diago. I thought that he would go crazy for this car. As it is, he really wasn't all that into the self moving aspect of the car. He likes pushing it, and sitting it, somewhat, but overall he isn't that into it. I am still convinced that he will grow to love it, especially with warmer weather.
Fischer Price cat terrorizer September 13, 2009 Jpitt2298 (Cincinnati, OH) My toddler likes it. He likes to run it into the wall and spin the tires. He pulled all the stickers off within the first week. Turning radius is terrible but on the lawn it does great.
This thing is indestructable! May 10, 2009 tat2edmom (Indian Head, MD United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So, we bought this for my first son when he was 18 months old -- we didn't buy this exact one, we bought the regular Green/Yellow one that was available, but they're all pretty much the same. We didn't think much of it, just something fun to have in the yard for a boy who has never been interested in t.v. and always wants to be outside. Not much power, but enough for a 18 month old. At first, we were unhappy that it couldn't make it up our slight incline of a front yard. The traction of the hard wheels make for slippery driving when the grass was wet. My husband screwed some screws into the tires for extra traction, was a quick remedy using just household items. Since then, my son has learned to steer and to whip it around. He has outgrown this one and we're moving up to a 16v. The one thing we are truly amazed at is how durable this thing is. My son uses it everytime we go outside and we never bring it inside, except to charge. This Lil' Quad has been out in the elements (rain, show, wind, etc) and is still working wonderfully! I can't believe it will last for our next son! What a great buy!
