My kids love the elf on the shelf. They would wake up every morning to see where he had moved to next. He is soft and cuddly and doesn't look scary.

In the days running up to Christmas, this little Elf was enchanting. My granddaughter would get up each morning, go immediately to the place where she left the Elf the night before, then search the house for him 'til she found him (he was never where she'd left him). The Elf's assignment was to report each night to Santa on how my granddaughter had behaved that day. The reports must have been very good based on all the wonderful gifts she received from Santa.

I was told about the Elf on the Shelf by a friend who loves leaving it in a different spot each night for her kids to find in the morning. Her kids even write the Elf letters for Santa. Unfortunately, I ordered too late for my daughter to have much fun with it with her kids. Next year!
