5 out of 5 stars Durable, clear picture.   July 1, 2010
Karin Heidelberger (Ishpeming, MI)
Just like the microscope I had when I was a kid in the 70's. Works well and is durable and nice and heavy. Not cheap, tippy plastic. Get the extra sets of slides!

1 out of 5 stars Total junk   June 19, 2010

After several battery replacements this thing will simply not work. The light will come on only on occasion. It was a Christmas present for my daughter and the total disappointment she showed with this thing will stick with me for years to come.

Just garbage.

5 out of 5 stars Great Microscope for Kids!   April 13, 2010

I bought this after reading the reviews. Almost all were positive and I went for it. I am SOOOO glad I did. I wanted a microscope that my children could actually see something in.........they can. I wanted a microscope that was durable........it is. My children love this!!! Their words.........AWESOME!!!! Cool huh?

4 out of 5 stars Excellent   March 21, 2010

We have had this microscope for 18 months now and have had no trouble. My boys love to discover things in the local pond, etc. The built-in light (rather than a mirror) is a huge plus. Optics might be just a touch sub-par for the price, but it's good for casual users.
