Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
30X In Your Pocket This nice pocket microscope is compact to carry and easy to use when you need a clear, close 30X look at coins, stamps, insects or assorted minutiae. The 5-3/4" x 1-5/8" x 3/4" black-plastic magnifier has a focus knob, a small led bulb for illumination, an on/off switch, and a protective vinyl carrying case. It requires (2) "AA" batteries. Very nice.

1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money!   September 8, 2010

Very unhappy! Just got this in, no box, no case, plain plastic bag. Had to force batteries in, then the LED doesn't turn. The image is way too shaky to see IF you can even get it to focus at all. Not worth the postage to send it back...
Caveat Emptor!

5 out of 5 stars STUDENTS LOVE THEM   August 24, 2010

I USE THESE IN CLASS AND ALL MY STUDENTS LOVE THEM. GREAT ALTERNATIVE WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS TO PURCHASE FULL SIZE MICROSCOPES.

4 out of 5 stars Great for the money.   August 2, 2010
This is definitely worth the money. It takes a little getting used to if what you are viewing is not perfectly flat, but by bracing the solid side of the viewing lens on the bridge of you nose and keeping you viewing eye back just a little you can see quite well, then adjust the focus or move your subject closer or further to the port on the bottom.

2 out of 5 stars Tiny View   April 29, 2010
Alison Buzzotta (Atlanta, Georgia)
This was for my four year old nephew and he was disappointed. For one you have to know how to keep one eye closed to see anything and even then you have to be exactly on the object and with the exact lighting. It takes a lot of effort. The viewing area is very tiny. Then again the price is right so maybe for an older child with patience would be ok.

For the price, you can't really beat this product. I use it to monitor special things on certain plants.
