Very cute April 6, 2010 Sea Pirate 1720 A friend of mine had shown me one of these in a store and I thought it was very cute and I wanted one immediately. I showed my mom later on thay day and she liked it as well so I bought one for her and for me and even though I am 26, I love it. I think it's really cute. You definitely would want to be careful if you have little ones who like to throw things because if you throw this, then the movements it makes, may not work anymore. I tend on getting more sometime. I thought my cats would hate it, but instead, they just pretty much ignore it as it sits there and meows, but my dog was freaked out. Anyway, good toy all around and very adorable.
Cute tiger March 28, 2010 K Henson (Logan, UT USA) My daughter's only 2 and she really likes this toy. We got her the white tiger & she loves to pack it around & sleep w/it at night (but we have to turn it off, or it keeps her awake). Our younger daughter is only 6 mos & really likes it, too:) You can hear the motor when it moves, but it's really not very loud. It's pretty cool & I recommend it, but it is kinda pricey- so try to get it on sale (I got it for $35).
crazy sound March 17, 2010 tadd001 (minneapolis, mn) Arrived in great condition, within scheduled time, 7 year old thought it was cute and fun, makes very bizzar sound that I think is supposed to be meowing but sounds more like a small child screatching.
Good for young kids March 4, 2010 momx2 Bought this for my 2yr old who loves animals. We paid around $24 for this and for that price it is worth it but not more. It is cute and works well but the robotic noise is quite loud. For a child though they won't notice it. Other than that is is good and has an off switch so it is not going everytime she touches it.
Good for elders, too. February 15, 2010 Tree_man (Colorado mountains) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The WowWee Tiger Cub is not just child's play. We got one for my 95-year old mother, and she just loves it. She is in a care facility, with mild dementia. We thought it might entertain her and give her some company when she was alone. It's proved to be a godsend. She has it in her lap almost all the time, pets it, and talks to it. She's always been a caregiver to others and misses not being able to do that anymore. "Pearl" gives her an opportunity to take care of something. For her, Pearl has become a somebody. It's been very good for her. This strong attachment could be a problem for some elders, but our mother lets us tell her it's time for Pearl's nap when we visit. Just give the ear a squeeze, and it goes to sleep. The caregivers like it, because they can do household chores away from her and hear her talking to Pearl. They know she's okay. The noises from the toy are not irritating or too loud for others in the home. The mechanical noises are noticeable to us and may be to children, but they don't register with our mother. We had to buy a charger and eight batteries, however, so Pearl is always ready to blink, purr, and make other kitten noises if needed. Durability is good, and the fur is easy to clean. Battery life is good enough, three days or so, but it's a pain to change batteries. It requires a screwdriver. And the flap over the battery compartment takes some dexterity to close properly. Otherwise, the Tiger Cub is a perfectly behaved household pet and would get five stars.
